No-Code Implementation

What's the process of adopting no-code software and where are you specifically in that process?

Watch this training video to find out!

The Adoption Lifecycle

Once you decide to implement no-code software at your organization, you're implementation will include four distinct phases, as follows:

Phase 1: Discovery

Your organization has dozens of processes and workflows - if not hundreds! Where can this software help you the most? In this phase, it's your job to discover the areas of opportunity for your organization that will allow you use no-code software in a way that produces swift efficiencies and improvements.

At GAP Consulting, we call this the Point of Intersection. This is where you identify opportunities that meet the following criteria:

  1. Must produce large process improvements
  2. Must require a small initial investment
  3. Must be a good fit for the no-code software

During the Discovery Phase, you are looking for the low hanging fruit. Where can you leverage no-code in your organization so that you get the most out of it for the smallest investment.

At GAP Consulting, most of our projects start exactly here. We work with our clients to help them identify what no-code can do for them. If you're interested in seeing if we're a good fit to help you, please start with our application here.

Phase 2: Custom Development

Think of no-code like building blocks that allow you to create whatever you can imagine. This means that before you begin using new software at your organization, you'll first need a solution built for your specific needs.

For most tools, there are a number of templates available to get you started quickly. Alternatively, you can start building your own solution from scratch. In either case, your end goal is to build something specifically for your workflows and processes that can be shared with your team.

GAP Consultings has worked with hundreds of clients on their Custom Development projects, ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies. If you would like to discuss a custom no-code solution for your organization, please start with our custom development application.

Phase 3: Software Training

Once you have your custom no-code solution built, you will need to train your team to use it effectively. There are two specific types of training to consider: Solution Training and Software Training.

Solution Training is training that is specific to your custom version, or instance, of the software. Usually, the best place to get this training is from the person who built your custom database. GAP Consulting provides solution training on all projects where we provide the custom development.

Software Training is more general training. This helps everyone in your organization learn the basics of the software so that they can begin navigating the tool comfortably.

GAP Consulting has created a unique team training experience that can be delivered directly to your team in Slack or MS Teams. We call this training Airtable Fundamentals and it includes certification upon completion. Individual seats can be purchased, and we offer multi-seat discounts as well.

Phase 4: Ongoing Support

After rolling out your custom solution and training your team, you may find that you require small changes and tweaks over time. Additionally, as changes occur in your organization, you'll need to have those reflected in your solution. This ongoing support phase will continue as long as you use no-code software at your organization.

There are two options when considering ongoing support: you can appoint internal Software Champions or you can work with an Hourly Consultant as needs arise.

Appointing internal Software Champions is an excellent option if you have the availability and interest within your team. This approach can provide cost savings for your organization in the long-run, as you won't have to seek outside help for small improvements.

To help create Airtable Champions within your organization, GAP Consulting has created an advanced training program called Airtable Automation Accelerator. Certification is available upon completion.

On the other hand, hourly consultants are another viable option. GAP Consulting offers hourly consultants by pre-paid appointment. During these consultations, you can meet with your consultant online, record your session, and get immediate answers and solutions to your no-code questions.

We suggest that you take time to consider where in this process you are.

Are you in early Phase 1 where you are defining your process and building your solution?

Or are you months into your software implementation and just need a little support from time to time?

Whatever your answer, this No-Code Adoption Lifecycle can help you plan for a successful implementation and adoption, saving you time and resources as you move your organization to a new powerful software.
